SECOND MONTH 

   
  
 1 - THE BABY :
  
Foetal length : week 5 from 5/7 mm to 3 cm at week 8
  
Foetal weight : from 0g to 2/3 g
  
Her heart beats can be viewed at the scan.
 
 
 2 - YOU :
 
Your breast begins to get larger
 
You may feel nausea and vomit
 
You may have heartburn
 
You may be constipated
 
You may have insomnia
 
Your legs may be heavy
 
Your uterus looks like an orange at the end of the month.
 
You may get cramps in your legs.
 
The HCG hormone is at its maximum level
 

Chloasma (in French : masque de grossesse) may appear on your face and / or your breast and neck.
 
 
3 - SOME ADVICES:
 
Avoid to carry heavy things.
 
Rest
 
Eat healthy and varied food
 
Apply to get a place in a crèche (see : crèches )
