6th prenatal visit :
the same checks as usually.(physical
examination, uterus height, your weight, your blood
pressure, the checking of your cervix.).

The doctor will also have a look at the baby's position. Don't worry if
she is head down. She still can do it.
|
|
|
|
If the doctor finds that your pelvis is not large enough for the
delivery of the baby, he will prescribe you an x-ray, which will not of
course affect the baby. This is called in French Radiopelvimétrie. The
aim is to measure exactly your pelvis.

|
|
The doctor will send you to the anesthesiologist's
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
You will visit the maternity, and the delivery room. Some clinics
have in their delivery room a bath, so during the labor you can have a
bath to relax and to accelerate the labour.

|
|
|
You can prepare your luggage and this of your baby. The hospital or
the clinic you have chosen should have already given you the clothes
list. Check that the hospital or the clinic supply diapers,...
|

|
Eat food rich in calcium.
|

If it is your 1st child, your maternity leave begins week
33.

Your uterus weighs more or less 1 kg more than before being pregnant.
|
|
|
|
You may feel irregular contractions.
|
|

Train to breathe as learnt during the courses about delivery.
|
|
|
|
Finish to prepare the baby's room.
|
|
