PREPARATION
A L' ACCOUCHEMENT. |

Scope of
childbirth classes :
|
|
|
|
|
This
preparation is done by certified midwives who tend to make a
low-technical and a personalised approach of childbirth. The
emphasis is given on delivery preparation and education.
Indeed
it is a psychological and a little bit physical preparation to the
delivery and to all the subjects around the baby's arrival.
There
are 8 courses done by the midwife. The subjects dealt with are :

Course 1 :
|
introducing yourself. You and (your partner) will speak about your
pregnancy,
about what your are expecting from these classes, about your
specific fears relating to the labor, the expulsion.... This course
can be made alone with the mid-wife or if you agree it can be a
collective course.
You will also do your first breathing techniques course.

Course 2 & 3 :
|
relaxation : breathing techniques.
|
|
|
|
|
Course 4 :
|
Feeding the baby
: breastfeeding and bottle-feeding will be explained to you.
|
|
|
|
|
Course 5 :
|
Baby daily cares
: how to the bathe the baby, how to change her,..
|
|
|
|
|
Course 6 :
|
Departure for the
hospital and the labor. Fathers generally attempt this class. Indeed
it helps them to be calm when you will begin to have contractions,
knowing what they have to do (to think to take your luggage, your
medical file, the camera, ...)

|
|
|
Course 7 :
|
the come back home, the postpartum blues, how to find a rhythm ...
|
|
|
|
|
Course 8 :
|
a recap.
|
|
|
|
|
 |
In
fact the aim is to explain to you what will happen during the coming
weeks, in order to psychologically prepare you to it. Thus you will
be less frightened by this unknown adventure and you will be more
relaxed during the labor. Thanks to the relaxation and breathing
techniques you will be fully prepared to relax your pelvic muscles,
which will diminish the pain of labor. |

The
courses last between 1 and 2 hours ( it depends on questions). |
|
|
|
Partners
are welcomed to all sessions. |
|
|
|
The
course costs 28,96 € and is fully paid back by the
CPAM. |
